My Journey with Bipolar Disorder
My name is Marvin, and I come from Gangu in Kampala, Uganda. For a long time, I did not know that I was developing a mental health condition called bipolar disorder. Looking back now, I realize that the illness had been growing within me before its symptoms became visible to those around me.
My first major episode happened while I was at school. During a lesson, I suddenly left my classroom and entered another class. I picked up a duster, erased everything that had been written on the blackboard, and drew a cow. The students became angry and wanted to confront me, but the teacher stopped them after noticing that I was carrying sticks in my hands. I started hitting tables and doors before eventually walking away.
The school immediately contacted my mother and informed her that I was behaving strangely and aggressively. When she came to pick me up, she initially thought I had a fever. However, after seeking medical attention, we were referred to Butabika National Referral Mental Hospital, where I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder during a manic episode.
My mother was shocked when she received the news. She was told that I had developed a mental illness and that my behavior had become unpredictable. It was a very difficult period for both me and my family.
As time went on, my condition worsened. There was a time when I even got lost. I was placed on medication at Butabika Hospital, but managing the illness remained a challenge. The medication often made me feel weak, while periods without it were marked by severe changes in my behavior.
At my worst, I would destroy household property and become increasingly difficult to manage. My family became so concerned about my safety and the safety of others that they sometimes had to lock me inside the house.
When my mother felt that there was little improvement in my life, she decided to take me to the Peace Centre of Holy City Entebbe. There, I was prayed for by the Servant of God Bro. Ronnie Makabai. According to my mother, after that encounter she began to notice significant changes in my behavior. Gradually, I started returning to my normal self and was able to resume my education.
Going back to school was not easy. Some school administrators were reluctant to allow me to sit for my Senior Four examinations because they remembered my previous behavior and feared that I would negatively affect the school's performance record.
Despite these challenges, I remained determined. By the grace of God, I performed exceptionally well in my examinations, surpassing the expectations of many people who had doubted me, including some of the students I had left studying while I was battling the condition.
When I first became ill, I felt as though something was controlling me. I could not control myself or my thoughts. At the time, I genuinely believed that everything I was doing was right. It was a confusing and frightening experience.
Today, I am grateful to the God of Bro. Ronnie Makabai for what for my healing and restoration. I am also deeply thankful to my family, especially my mother, for standing by me during one of the most difficult periods of my life.
I thank Bro. Ronnie Makabai for praying for us tirelessly and I thank God for giving my mother the patience to take care of me.
My story is a testimony that there is nothing too difficult for the God of Bro. Ronnie Makabai and that He is still in the business of transforming lives. I hope my journey inspires others who are facing difficult situations to hold on to faith, hope, and the support of those who care about them.
When Maggots Ate My Leg… But God Ate My Pain
_A story of a wound, a verdict, and a healing hand_
I never thought I’d write these words: _maggots were coming out of my leg._
Months ago, I was on a construction site like any other day. A hammer slipped. It landed hard on my foot. I brushed it off. “Just a bruise,” I told myself. I kept working.
A few days later, the spot caved in. My leg started swelling. Fast. By the time I got to the hospital, the doctors were trying everything. But the wound wouldn’t close. Pus kept coming. The flesh kept rotting. Then the unthinkable started — maggots.
The pain was unbearable. I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t sleep. The stench pushed everyone away. Friends stopped visiting. The doctors gave me the final verdict: _amputation_. They said it was the only way to save my life.
My own hope started to rot faster than my leg.
I wanted to die! Looking at a leg that used to carry me, now decaying in front of my eyes, broke me. I called my sister with the last bit of hope I had. I told her how alone I felt. How hopeless it was.
Her answer was simple: “The only solution now is God.”
That’s when I came seeking the Almighty — the invisible healing hand that doctors can’t put on a prescription.
Bro. Ronnie Makabai prayed for me.
I can’t explain it medically. I can only tell you what happened.
From that moment, the pain left. The rotting stopped. The maggots were gone. I started walking again. Today, my leg is whole. Healthy. Restored.
Doctors did their part. I’m grateful for medicine and for the hands that tried to save me. But God is the Creator. And my healing proved to me that he alone knows the original design. And He can restore all of us back to it.
This is my testimony: Don’t give up before you give God a chance. When man reaches the end of his options, that’s where God begins His work.
“I am the Lord, who heals you.” – Exodus 15:26”
If you’re reading this and your own “leg” is rotting — maybe it’s not physical. Maybe it’s a broken marriage, an addiction, debt, depression, a diagnosis that stole your hope. You feel isolated. You feel like amputation is your only option. You feel like your situation is beyond repair?
What did you do when hope ran out? Drop your story in the comments. You’re not alone.
The Jesus Bro. Ronnie serves is still healing. Still restoring. Still making broken things whole.
HEALED FROM CERVICAL CANCER
“Mummy we know that one day we will wake up and you’ll be dead” my children said to me when my cancer diagnosis came.
For years I developed strange symptoms, I started experiencing pain in my lower abdomen, and pain in my private parts. This kept passing for an infection diagnosis in the rural area where I lived.
The pain started worsening, I started to dread menstruation because it had become a nightmare, I started padding myself because of the bloody and smelly vaginal discharge. This was constant, smelly and uncomfortable.
“I started to feel like an imposter in my own body”
At the hospital that had become my most frequent location I asked why?
After 3 years of pain a cancer screening test was done.
The answer clear as day “Cervical cancer” and without wasting a moment there came the treatment “thermal coagulation”.
This is a procedure done to kill off areas destroyed by cancer cells.
After rounds of treatment all my checkups confirmed the cancer was just progressing.
The doctors gave me their best. I was grateful but I knew I needed something or someone greater.
I asked my son, “do you know where I can get healed?”
This is when I encountered Holy City Entebbe.
I started watching ARKTV, I regained hope and with faith, I came and encountered the Jesus of Bro. Ronnie Makabai.
With a stretch of a hand, he proclaimed healing upon my body and God did it for me.
From that day the discharge stopped, the wounds healed, the smell disappeared, I felt like myself again.
“I am only a vessel that God uses to do His will, if you believe nothing is impossible…Bro. Ronnie Makabai”
With new found courage I matched to the screening room to get my test done. No cancer cells seen!!!
After that declaration that was followed by many reviews. I am consistently healthy and living a cancer free life. My children are happy knowing that their mum is alive and well.
God is still in the business of healing just as He did many years ago .
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”

From the Verge of Failure to a Breakthrough: The Architect Who Almost Lost Everything
We’ve all been there—standing at a crossroads, staring at a wall that won’t budge. You’ve invested four years of your life, drained your savings, and poured your soul into a dream, only to be met with a slammed door.
When do you stop fighting? When is it time to quit?
For Mr. Peter Ayobami, an aspiring architect in Nigeria, that question wasn't just a thought—it was a daily torment. Architecture was supposed to be his golden ticket, the "prestigious" career that would lift his family out of struggle. Instead, it became a four-year nightmare.

The Weight of "Almost"
Imagine the scene: The Degree: Completed. The Reality: Zero job offers.
The Barrier: Three failed attempts at the professional certification exam—the only thing standing between him and his license to practice.
With no money to sustain his family and the crushing weight of "failure," Peter found himself in a dark place. Hope wasn’t just fading; it was gone. Depression had him in a chokehold, and he began to contemplate the unthinkable: suicide.
A Click of the Remote, A Change of Heart
They say the darkest hour is just before the dawn. For Peter, that dawn came through a television screen.
While scrolling through channels, he landed on ARK TV. He didn't see just another program; he saw a lifeline. He watched the miracles, heard the testimonies, and listened to the teachings of Bro. Ronnie Makabai. > "I was in a state of giving up, but I saw Bro. Ronnie teaching and immediately, I believed."
Bro. Ronnie shared a simple, yet explosive prayer for the overwhelmed: "Sovereign Lord, all power belongs to You."
Those seven words changed everything. The heavy fog of depression lifted, and his faith was restored.
The Fourth Attempt
True faith doesn't just sit still—it moves. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, Peter registered for his certification exam for the fourth time. The result? Excellence!
Today, the man who was ready to end it all is a certified professional. He secured a prestigious position at a university, where he now teaches the next generation of architects. He has his own office, a stable salary, and most importantly, the ability to provide for the family he almost left behind.

Your Breakthrough is Closer Than You Think
If you feel stuck, rejected, or like you’re at the end of your rope, remember this: Boundaries are never barriers.
As Bro. Ronnie says, "The Lord Jesus is closer to you than anyone or anything else."
Connect with the Light
Don’t fight your battles alone. You can find the same inspiration that saved Mr. Peter’s life right from your phone or living room.

CANCER HEALS THROUGH PRAYER
A testament to a power far greater than any medical prognosis. A story of a young life on the verge of being extinguished, only to be rekindled in an instant by the invisible hand of the God through Bro. Ronnie Makabai.
“The year 2017 was meant to be my stepping stone, the year I'd truly launch my ambitious career. But as the leaves turned in October 2017, a disturbing shift began. I noticed a subtle, yet persistent, change in my health. I was frequently getting ill, colds that lingered, fatigue that clung to me constantly. It was unlike the energetic, vibrant me.”
In this moment is when a close friend, a sharp young doctor, saw the worry in Annet’s eyes, and noticed the changes in her body. "You need a full check-up, my dear," she insisted. Reluctantly, Annet agreed. The cascade of consultations and tests led her to a specialist, and then to the cold, sterile reality of a diagnosis that felt like a death sentence: Post-Germinal Diffuse Large B-cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common lymphoma, accounting for about 25% to 30% of all the non-Hodgkin lymphomas. DLBCL is aggressive, with a limited cure rate. (Padala, S. A., & Kallam, A. (2023). Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. In StatPearls. StatPearls Publishing. Retrieved from https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK557796/)
The specialist’s words hung in the air: an aggressive, fast-spreading cancer. It felt like the ground had vanished beneath her. The world, once full of dazzling possibilities, suddenly narrowed to a cold, dark point. By the time the doctors spoke to her, the cancer was suspected to having started invading her spinal cord, stomach, and other vital organs.
“The pain, which had been a creeping discomfort, became an agonizing, all-consuming reality at that moment, as if my body was acknowledging the horrifying news.”
This wasn't a slow-moving adversary…
The doctors urgently recommended starting chemotherapy because without immediate medical attention the consequences to her health were dire.
“Fear was a constant companion, a heavy, suffocating blanket. Every subsequent appointment brought new terror: The most visible, most shattering moment came on a particularly weak morning. I reached up, running my hands through my thick, black hair that had always been my pride and joy. A sudden, terrifying clump slid through my fingers. I looked at the strands of hair lying in my palm, and an overwhelming sadness broke me. It wasn't just hair; it was my youth, my identity, being stripped away by this merciless disease.”
The consensus around her shifted from concern to grim acceptance. Friends and family, despite their love, prepared for the inevitable.
“They knew I was going to die...”
Be fully convinced that what God has promised, He is able to perform…Bro. Ronnie Makabai
It was at that point of utter human helplessness that she understood she couldn’t fight this disease on her own. She had exhausted earthly solutions; She needed the Creator. She knew, deep in her heart, that He alone could restore her broken body.
“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived — the things God has prepared for those who love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9”
She was then led to the Servant of God, Bro. Ronnie Makabai at Holy City Entebbe. Standing before him, with no need for a lengthy explanation, he simply stretched out his hand and the pain was no more!
In that single, timeless moment, something phenomenal happened. The burden was lifted. Not slowly, not gradually, but instantly.
“It felt as if a heavy, dense object had been physically removed from my body. I felt perfectly whole. I was cancer free.”
She then returned to the very institution that had given her the unbearable diagnosis: the Cancer Institute of Mulago National Referral Hospital.
She went to the same specialists who had confirmed the cancer diagnosis.
The wait was excruciating, but the results… the news that overwhelmed her was the miracle she already knew in her heart: there was no trace of cancer in her system.
“My physician, an experienced professional who’d seen it all, looked from the clear results to my face, his own expression a mixture of disbelief and amazement. He could only utter a few simple words. "Young girl," he said, shaking his head, "you have hit this."”
It was a victory so absolute, that it defied every statistical probability and medical law. Indeed, the God of Bro Ronnie Makabai, had given her an undeniable victory.
“I look at myself now, and I’m like, "Wow! Is this me? My weight is back, my energy is boundless, and my joy is restored. My hair, once gone, is now thick, healthy, and back in full glory. Everything the destructive cancer had robbed from me my health, my dreams, my very life as a young, ambitious woman has been restored. Now, I don't just dream; I know I have hope that I can make every single one of those dreams come true.”
Now Ms. Annet is celebrating her amazing new life. The transformation is still a wonder to everybody that hears or sees her testimony. We now celebrate with her daily.
Glory and Honor back to Jesus!
HEALED FROM MADNESS
The enemy came to steal, kill and destroy but in the presence of the Holy one, his missions and plans are nothing. This is a story of a young boy who had an encounter with the devourer of all things good.
Malik has been demon possessed for a long time. His situation has not been easy.
“This boy has a problem, he is always saying he is seeing satan and he is seeing snakes coming towards him.” His sister testified. The enemy had taken away Malik's sense of peace, human understanding and consciousness. His spirit had been captured and was being tortured.
Because he wasn't acting and behaving like a normal human being, Malik had been tied up and constrained, to stop him from harming himself and the people around him. It was an overwhelming challenge for Malik and his family.
“My parents are always running up and down and crying because of Malik.” Malik’s sister shared with us. Home sweet home, had quickly turned sour.
However, Malik’s suffering soon came to an end, when he was brought to the Peace Center of Holy City Entebbe, hope began to come alive.
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me, To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound.”
(Isaiah 61:1, NKJV)
The Servant of God Bro. Ronnie Makabai, walked into the Peace Centre with all the special anointing placed upon him by the Spirit of the Most High God. When He stretched his arm, demons trembled and the sick got healed.
With the same anointing, he placed his hand upon Malik’s head and prayed, “Righteous Jesus, whatever was causing this madness, we uproot it permanently, never to run mad again!” It was done indeed. Malik regained consciousness. All joy was restored and peace reigned.
Thereafter, the Servant of God shared about how people would preach about such miracles, signs and wonders in the ancient times but today it's a different story. People don't believe anymore and say the work of God is staged.
“But now during our time, they watch and say, ‘hhhmmm, is there a drama there? What are they doing?”, the Servant of God shared.
“There must be honour for the gospel.”
Because of God’s unfailing love that endures forever, Malik has come back to his senses and is living a peaceful life.
“Though you may face trials and tests, draw closer to God, and when you're in that place of intimacy, ask Him to remember you.”
Bro. Ronnie Makabai

Blessed with 5 Kids at Once!
After 10 Years of Waiting, Mariam's Miracle Unfolds at Holy City Entebbe
Mariam, a woman who endured the pain of secondary infertility for 10 long years, was brought to Holy City Entebbe in search of divine intervention. Her sister, Madina, approached her in tears, overwhelmed by Mariam's struggle and expressing her heartfelt desire to see her sister blessed with more children. Although Mariam's husband had one child, he yearned for another, but Mariam's situation led to questions and whispers from people who speculated she might be using contraceptives.

Madina, knowing the power of God working through Bro. Ronnie Makabai, encouraged her sister to visit Holy City Entebbe for prayers. She assured Mariam that the Man of God would pray for her, saying, “Our God does not segregate by religion.” Mariam, a Hajjat, was hesitant at first but eventually chose to seek the touch of God through the ministry at Holy City, a place known for welcoming people of all faiths with open arms.

Holy City Entebbe, under the anointed leadership of Bro. Ronnie Makabai, is a sanctuary where people from all walks of life gather to experience God’s transformative power. The servant of God is renowned for his unwavering faith, compassion, and dedication to the call of ministry. Bro. Ronnie’s teachings emphasize that God’s love and blessings transcend boundaries of religion, culture, and background, making Holy City Entebbe a beacon of hope for all who seek divine intervention.
When Mariam and her sister approached Bro. Ronnie Makabai, they made two specific prayer requests: a righteous marriage for Mariam and the blessing of children. With faith-filled prayers and prophetic declarations, the Man of God lifted Mariam’s burdens before the Lord.
God answered in abundance. Shortly after her introduction ceremony, Mariam conceived and gave birth to five healthy children—a miraculous blessing after a decade of waiting.
Mariam’s husband, who had once been troubled because his siblings had many children while he and Mariam had only one, was overjoyed. The joy in their family was a testimony of God's ability to do exceedingly and abundantly above all expectations.
But the journey didn’t end there. Few days after giving birth, an attack was launched against her children by unseen forces. Once again, Bro. Ronnie Makabai interceded with fervent prayers, covering Mariam and her children under the protection of the Lord. The Man of God declared healing over her and her children and broke every spiritual stronghold that sought to harm them.
Bro. Ronnie also named the first child Isaac, symbolizing laughter and fulfillment, and the last child Benjamin, representing strength and blessings. He prayed for all the children, declaring prosperity, good health, and that the Light of God would guide their lives forever.

Mariam's testimony is a powerful reminder that God is not limited by time or circumstances. At Holy City Entebbe, where the doors are open to all, Mariam found not only her miracle but also a renewed faith in God’s limitless power. Her story inspires many to trust in God’s timing and to believe that, with faith and prayer, all things are possible.
Bro Ronnie Ministries continues to transform lives and restore hope, proving that in God, there is no segregation—only love, grace, and abundant blessings.

Healed From Diabetes: A Journey From Amputation.
This is an incredible story where God once again glorifies Himself in someone’s life. Presented by her sister, this is the testimony of Aryemo Magaret.
“My sister has been diabetic for the last 17 years and was so smelly in the house…..” Margaret's sister narrates.
Aryemo Magaret was struggling with diabetes for 17 years. To put this into context, if a child was born in the year Ms. Margaret fell sick, they'd now be 17 years old. That is how long Margaret struggled with this disease.
While her sister stood next to her to magnify the name of the Lord, you could tell the joy and freedom that Margaret had. She was extremely overjoyed, she was standing on her own, something she couldn't do for the last 17 years.
Her sister went on to testify about how they were always in and out of the hospital and because chronic diabetes eats up the body, it began to eat up Margaret's flesh, causing the house they both lived in to stink terribly. It was such an unbearable smell that doctors suggested that the leg be cut off because the rest of her body risked an incredible infection, but Margaret's faith was unshaken.
She knew there was only one doctor that had the final say and that is Jesus Christ.
“The doctors said the diabetic wound will not get healed, but for us we ran to Holy City, Peace center……” Margaret's sister goes on to tell the story,
They came to the peace center of Holy City Entebbe for prayers where they encountered the servant of God Bro. Ronnie Makabai. The man of God stretched out his hand in faith, and the rest was history. “He did not even touch her”, Margaret's sister said, “and she got healed”, she finished.
Margaret confirmed this testimony by walking around majestically showing off with her almost amputated leg that was healed by our Lord Jesus Christ. Margaret experienced instant healing!!!!!!!!!!!!
She went home happy but because the devil couldn't believe that the Lamb of God had once again won, Margaret succumbed to a fracture but even then, they came back to their one and only doctor where she was healed instantly by Jesus through the prayers of the Man of God.
“It is the same God of Bro. Ronnie who touched me and healed my bones now I can walk freely. I can walk without support”, Margaret said happily.
After the prayers of the Man of God, they went to Mulago hospital to confirm Margaret’s healing and indeed she was healed.
Margaret's sister showed us the glucometer where the number read “6.1”, the normal sugar level for a normal human being.
Her hands shook out of fear of the large crowd she was facing in the church auditorium but she stood firm and confirmed that she is completely healed.
Margaret concluded by saying, “For 17 years, I've been unstable but through the prayers of man of God, I am now healed.”
“I am free, in His time He released me, I’m free!”
“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
(John 8:36, NKJV)

My PhD Saved by God’s Unfaltering Grace
“I am proudly a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration from an accredited university.”
With a mixture of pride and disbelief she gestured to the stack of documents before her. "These are my academic achievements," she said, "and I bless the God of Bro. Ronnie Makabai for them.”
Her journey is one of confusion, frustration, and an extraordinary turnaround.
She desperately sought God at Holy City Entebbe when she was utterly confused - with less than eight months to submit research work for her PhD program, yet she was failing. She had no support from her supervisors in completing the requirements, even though the deadlines were fast approaching. The frustration was pushing her to the brink of dropping the program. In that moment, a friend impelled her to seek prayers from the man of God Bro. Ronnie Makabai of Holy City Entebbe.
"At first, I didn’t believe it would help, but I was desperate. I had invested so much money and time. I was on the verge of giving up. In that state, I met the man of God Bro. Ronnie Makabai for the first time. ".
' It is well.' Bro Ronnie Makabai said.
“I left his presence still confused as I expected more than just a word, “It is well”, but his smile and assurance lingered with me." She affirmed.
Behold the Lord’s divine intervention! After prayers of Bro. Ronnie Makabai, the very next day, her supervisors began contacting her, asking how they could assist her in completing her dissertation. Though seemingly impossible, with their support, she managed to finish her dissertation and journals on time.
“Having a PhD in three years is no small feat," she said with a triumphant smile.
She then returned to Holy City Entebbe to share her testimony. She expressed her desire to graduate in Mexico, and Bro. Ronnie Makabai assured her, 'It is well,' as she heard those words again, her faith was reaffirmed.
Despite the expensive cost of flying to Mexico, requiring about 18 million Ugandan Shillings that she didn’t have, she obtained her visa without struggle. The necessary funds miraculously came through, enabling her to make the journey. Not only did she secure the money for the trip, but she also had reserves.
“That is the God of Holy City."
Returning to Uganda after her graduation was bittersweet.
People at her workplace wondered when she had found the time to study. Some doubted the authenticity of her papers. To clear any doubts, she went to the Uganda National Council of Higher Education. This regulating authority confirmed her PhD Award.
Her story didn’t end there!
God’s blessings didn’t stop with her education. He has continually provided for her financially in extraordinary ways, allowing her to purchase her dream car. Additionally, God blessed her daughter; she was crowned Miss High School Uganda and won’t have to pay tuition fees for a year.
All of this has been made possible by the Grace of God upon Bro. Ronnie Makabai of Holy City Entebbe.
With a heart full of gratitude, she concluded; "Before coming here, these things seemed impossible. But with faith, perseverance, and prayers from Bro. Ronnie Makabai, my life has been transformed. I thank God every day for these blessings."
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:1
