You know, the Lord Jesus Christ came to put up a family on the earth. He is after a family. Children whom God the Father will look at and say, “I have My family.” We want to reach a level where God who is not proud, will be proud of us.
He said, “Abraham, I am going to make you a Father of nations, and through you, I will have fruits on the earth.” He chose Abraham and said I will get a Savior through that lineage, that Christ will come through him.
“Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.” (Acts 4:32)
So, they had the same spirit, the same feelings. It is not good for you to see someone testifying, and then you feel bad about it, when you are not happy for your sister or brother who has got a testimony; that alone, will hinder your own. These people were one family. They rejoiced for others and they did not work towards destroying the Kingdom but they worked towards building the Kingdom. And what followed that?
“And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.” (Acts 4:33)
It began with oneness of spirit and soul, then Power manifested. If satan wants to weaken a ministry, he divides them. They grumble, fight each other and work against the Work of God.
“Then Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said to the children of Reuben, the children of Gad, and the children of Manasseh, “This day we perceive that the Lord is among us, because you have not committed this treachery against the Lord. Now you have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the Lord.” (Joshua 22:31)
This day we perceive that the Lord is among us, because we are like brothers and sisters and we have not sinned against the Lord. There is what they call a social sin that can keep you in bondage.
When one tribe of Israel sinned against the Lord, among the twelve tribes, God could turn against them all and hand them over to the enemy. Whenever God got angry with them, their enemies defeated them.Whenever they turned to other gods, the LORD could withdraw. When they attempted to go for fights, they were defeated, then they cried, “O God.” Then He said, “You turned away from Me.”
So, God cannot measure Himself with what He created and you say it is a god. Something He created, you take it to be your God, it is why he withdraws. He says, “In your house, there is a competition, I cannot compete.” Then you find the enemy taking over.
The Bible tells us, resist the devil and he will run away from you (James 4:7). There is no one devil cannot try, he will try everybody however much you are anointed.
Your prayer life, is what sustains you. No matter how busy you are, never forsake your spiritual life.
The enemy wants to take over everywhere; but your daily life and spiritual sensitivity will safeguard you. The enemy wants to bring you to its level…to leave Christ so that you follow him. So, devil will always embrace somebody in your own house, to bring you down so be spiritually sensitive.
Things of the spirit are so real. There are so many ways the enemy wants to get to you. That is why you have to be careful that you may run your race and succeed in life. Then you say, “Yes, I have run the race of life and have overcome.” Exercise your faith and proclaim the Glory of God in your life.
So, as children of God, the God we worship is a True God and He is too Powerful but what the only thing we lack is the right way of doing things. Do not keep negativity and grumbling in your heart all the time. You are chasing away the Holy Spirit. Yes, the situation is hard, but when Job’s situation was hard, he never turned away from the LORD. He never glorified satan. He proclaimed, “My God, take over. My God, remember me.” His friends accused him but Job remained in constant relation with God.
I advise you, my friend, start a true journey with Jesus Christ.Be your first, personal pastor; and then start the journey having the faith in God Almighty knowing and believing that He will fulfil it. He knows how long you are going to live. He knows what He has prepared for you, and He has no bad plans at all. Why rush, doubt and grumble against Him? Why listen to His enemies? Do not give His enemies an ear because they will destroy you.
That is why I encourage you, make Jesus Christ your personal Savior and LORD. Let your faith in Him be very tangible. As you relate with your God, if you are true, He will be true to you. With open Arms He will say, “Child, come.”
I am here to tell you that Jesus Christ loves you. Once you know about Jesus Christ, hold Him tightly and begin the journey. The enemy will try to pull you down.
When Peter tried to lure Jesus Christ into not going to the Cross, He said, “Get away from me you satan.” Jesus knew that satan was trying to use Peter whom He had chosen to stop the Mission (Matthew 16:21-28).
That is why I told you to be careful of your surroundings. The enemy uses those within. Peter tried and Jesus Christ rebuked him. So, satan has sent someone to whisper something just to put a thorn in your soul.
The enemy will try you by all means especially when you are rising. So, child of God, stay firm. Press on to the end.
