The Burden To Carry

Prayer:

“Righteous Jesus, Son of the Most High God, shepherd us in the strength of the Father, by the majesty of Your Name. Put your Word on my heart. Give me the Grace to enjoy and memorize your Word when I read it. Amen”

Let us share something by God’s Grace.

There as so many burdens that take up people; there are those that have the burden for sports. You find someone in Uganda over disturbed by the performance of Man United. Liverpool is not giving him peace. Arsenal is misbehaving to him. So, you find him sitting somewhere discussing every day, spending three or four hours discussing the burden on his heart.

There are so many burdens. Something that occupies your heart and that you give all that much attention is a burden you have decided to carry.

If you do not choose the right burden to carry, obviously, the enemy will always design burdens for you to carry.

“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am Gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:29-30)

So, something may disturb your soul and overtake you, but Jesus Christ said that when you take His Yoke, meaning His burden, it is lighter compared to any other thing.

Once you take up His burden, He will connect with you and He will make it light. When the evil one sees the burden of Christ on you, he will know that he has no place in you. It means something has overtaken you already. Something has filled you already, so, devil finds no place where to put his burden. Even if he tries, you will not be moved. 

Jesus Christ said, “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me.”

He carried a very heavy cross. When at Calvary, He carried it up to somewhere, where he stopped carrying it. They picked somebody to carry it at that point where Jesus had stopped. Someone from Ethiopia came and carried it.

So, that was an illustration that Jesus Christ began something and it is you to accomplish it. He left the burden there that we may carry it so that we are not over taken by the devices the enemy has assigned to overtake us, and that our souls find rest.

You need your soul to be at rest, to live at peace and you may ask, “How can the soul be at rest? How can the soul be at peace? It is me to be at peace.” The real you, your inner person is your soul. If it comes out, this body rots in a second! When the soul comes out of you, you will cease to be you. People will say,” So and so’s body is somewhere.” Not you…because you have come out of the body. So, for the soul to receive peace and to rest, depends on what you feed it on. What is that burdening you? That thing has an impact and it has some effect on your soul.

Sometimes you have to ignore somethings for you to continue. It may seem necessary but when it is not as important as you think. Not everything should be carried in your heart.

The burden of Jesus Christ is lighter. He shall always make you overlook certain things.

You are feeling sickly, depressed and disturbed because there is a burden you are carrying and yet you have no solution for it. You think until your brain hits the roof. Follow Jesus. Carry His burden.

For God Himself to prove you, He must first prove that it is His burden that you will carry not any other. Any decision you make, depends on Him. How will God say about this? What is the implication on my spirituality? How will this affect me?

Biblical illustration:

What happened when my Master Jesus Christ was going to begin the Mission? He was led by the Spirit to go in the wilderness to be tested by the devil.

 “Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.” (Matthew 4:1)

This is the Son of God. This is the King of kings who came from Heaven. His conception was not a decision of man and woman, but He was led by the Holy Spirit and by God the Father to go in the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

You do not say, “devil has tempted me,” and think God will forgive you. His work is to tempt you. God had to find out if His Son had been corrupted by the world. He led Him to be tested just like many of us have to be tested so that we are approved.

That is the truth! Before anyone of us gets the calling to get into what you are meant to do, there will be a test.

God will want to find out: where does your heart dwell, what kind of heart do you have? Will you carry His burden? Or you will carry something else? Or you are corrupted by something…

So, in every situation, in every condition, we should be prayerful.

When the Spirit led Jesus Christ to go and be tested, He automatically went into fasting. Almost all the days of His time of test, He was fasting for forty days and nights that He may not fall into temptation.

The devil kept on telling him, “If you carry my burden, I will give you this.” He said, “No! I serve only One True God, not any other.”

Devil said, “Eh!!!this One is determined to serve the LORD? Now, let me go into it.” he said, “You are a child of God, jump from this Temple.” he took Him on the top the church, imagine! And he said, “Jump up from up there, and fall down, the Angels will pick you.”

And the LORD said, “They do not put the LORD to test.” So, He was able to discern that this is the voice of the evil one.

As a child of God, you do what you are meant to do physically and leave the rest to God.

God will use you differently basing on the burden He assigned for you from the beginning. There is what you do extraordinarily. There is what He will use you to do in an extraordinary way.

What does this mean? That in it all, we have to be humble and attentive to His instruction, carrying His burden for the rest of our lives.

Carry the burden of Jesus Christ. Connect yourself in your heart, that the issues of His Kingdom are really of concern to you. Do what you can do and pray for the Kingdom; then the LORD Jesus will see how you are burdened by what you are seeing happening and you are praying about it.

If you are seeing the division in the body of Christ and your heart is burdened, you say, “Let me pray to God. Let them be committed, Lord, help them to serve You.” Do not be judgmental but you just pray.

When you are out there, do you really pray for me???? Or you say, “Bro. Ronnie is too powerful he does not need prayers.” When the enemy is praying against you, he will use my name. But as for you pray, “LORD Jesus Christ, protect Bro. Ronnie Makabai.” When Bro. Ronnie Makabai is protected, you are also protected.

“Do not burden yourself with things you cannot change.”

It is LORD Jesus Christ who matters. So, friend, you are a born again, and this means there is where you belong. Do not burden yourself with things you cannot change.Do what you can do leave the rest to God. Do not break yourself too much and injure your soul with everything.

At your work place, you are burdened. In your house, you are burdened; everywhere, you are burdened. So, where will you hide?

I know you are too busy but the day God will give value to your time, you will not be as busy as that. Be busy in something but that this is not hurting your soul and body. Ask God to give value to your time you will find that the hour you sit at your work place, what you earn will be more than what ordinary people earn in a month.

If you want to make a difference, simply ask God to give value to your time…that you will also have time to rest, that your body is healthy and when your body is healthy, you are able to think rightly.

Poverty begins from the upper chambers. So, you rest, so that the upper chambers can work really well. Drink enough water so that you are less emotional. Then, this one will work properly. That when you think, you get it right.

Carry the burden of Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Righteous Jesus Christ, give us the Grace to live the way you lived, to live rightly. In Jesus’ Name. Thank You Righteous Jesus. Thank You Son of the Most High.
