Prayer: Let there be light in my soul.
Let’s share something briefly under the topic, PROPHETIC ACTS OF FAITH.
It does not require you to be a prophet, to do prophetic acts of faith.
Why do we call them prophetic? It is because they carry the power of declaration. They are part of the prayer.
That’s why we say prophetic acts of faith. You can supplicate, you can really pray, fast, worship, do all that you think you have done. But as long as it remains without an act of faith, it remains hanging.
Those who witnessed Jesus Christ do His work, the apostles, they testify to it. That’s why James says in the book of James 2:17 – 26, NKJV
“Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
“A man is justified by works, and not by faith only. “
Abraham seemed to have had faith in God. Because God told him, move from your family and go where I will show you. He did not know where he was going, but he moved.
He heard the voice of a God he did not know, but he obeyed, and it was counted as faith. So, along the way, in all the promises that He seemed to have laid, God asked for an act of faith.
“Give your son, the only son you have.” If Abraham had refused to do that act, it would have disqualified his calling. But he took a step of faith and acted on the Word of God, on the instructions of God.
God counted him as a friend and by virtue of that, He called him a father of nations. In everything God wants to use you, He will put a test to see your acts. So, if your acts fail you, then your calling is cancelled.
So, faith without acts in itself is meaningless; and that’s where most of us Christians are held. We are held in such a position that we are fruitless.
We think things of God, we just talk and talk and leave it there. No! When you pray and go deep in prayers. God gives you an instruction.
He instructs you what to do; and when you carry out that instruction, you will see great fruits. Most of us, when we go to pray, we speak throughout.
After speaking, we close the prayer and go away. We have a monologue relationship where it is only us speaking.
We don’t even bother to hear what God is saying. We don’t even read the Bible. But we speak too much.
And then say, “I have prayed for such hours”. And you think you have really prayed. You speak, God will wait, because He is gentle… waiting for you to be quiet, so that He can answer you. And His answers in most cases are instructions. Do A, B, C, D.
God didn’t create water, but He formed water. So that’s why it’s the most convenient position where the divine meets the humanity, where the power of creation manifests. In your mother’s womb, you were not surrounded by her blood, God put water in the womb that you may be created, and when you came out, that water came with you.
Scripture Reference
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.”
(Genesis 1: 1 – 2, NKJV)
You see? So, He was going to create. The earth was void. It was dark and deep, but the water was there.
These things were dark. There was nothing that was so clear, but His Spirit based on the water that He had formed, that it is part of His being.
He says, “I’m the living water. Whoever drinks from me shall never be thirsty”. That’s what Jesus said.
“but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:14, NKJV)
So, God used His water as a platform to create the world. So that’s why I pray for it, that you have something you can use in your private time as your platform to create your world, to make declarations.
When you have this tool, God knows you have it. He will tell you, “Get that water, pour it on your head. Say, Blood of Jesus. Wash away the curses.”
Then you mention what you are praying for. He will give you acts of faith because you know the tools and you have the tools with you.
So, friend, faith of mere words, is empty. Satan will use it and deal with you. You pray and talk too much, but there is no act of faith out of your prayers.
Make some declarations, confess something that is in line with what you are asking for so that you may bear fruits of your faith.
We are so different in many things. So, don’t look at someone too much and stumble. Look at yourself and your God, so that He will instruct you.
When He gives you instructions, don’t mind what people say. Just follow His instruction, you will get where He has designed for you.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, open my mind, open my heart to your words. Lord, help me to know your instructions. Help me to hear your instructions. Help me to understand your instructions. In Jesus’ Mighty Name!
May the Peace of The Lord be With You!
