Scripture Reference: Genesis 17:18-20
“And Abraham said to God, ‘Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!’
Then God said: ‘No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.’
Topic: At the Point of Victory
Abraham was a friend of the Most High God. Even at the time of his birth, negative energies around him were paralyzed. However, he faced trials until God approved him. He wrestled with man, wrestled with God, and gained victory. At the point of victory, God approves us. You may be anointed, perform wonders, and miracles, but true approval comes at God’s appointed moment.
Biblical Illustration: David
David was anointed by Samuel at a young age but was not approved until he defeated Goliath. His victory marked the moment God and Israel recognized him as a conqueror and the son of Jesse. This testimony remains a powerful example of triumph through faith.
Prayer:
May God help you defeat the Goliath before you—those challenges that have tormented your family for generations.
At the point of victory, your destiny takes a divine turn. God redirects you to fulfill His purpose, just as He did with Abraham, who defeated five kings with 300 soldiers. His victory led to blessings from Melchizedek, the High Priest of God.
Abraham faced and overcame human opposition while remaining steadfast in his faith. Similarly, Jacob wrestled with God and man and prevailed. His struggle was a spiritual test, which resulted in his name being changed to Israel—a turning point that fulfilled his destiny.
Scripture Reference: Genesis 22:10-12
“And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, ‘Abraham, Abraham!’ So, he said, ‘Here I am.’ And He said, ‘Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now, I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.'”
Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice Isaac was a test of his faith. When he passed, God provided a ram and blessed him abundantly, marking his point of approval.
Biblical Illustration: Jacob
Jacob wrestled with God and man until daybreak and refused to let go until he was blessed. The Angel changed his name to Israel, signifying his victory and the fulfillment of his divine purpose.
Life Lessons:
- Opportunities and challenges come to everyone. Your sensitivity determines whether you seize or miss them.
- Some trials are designed to test your character and faith. When you respond rightly, your destiny is realigned.
Biblical Illustration: Jesus Christ
At His triumphant entry, the crowd praised Him, declaring, “Blessed is the King who comes in the Name of the Lord!” Even Pilate, despite opposition, declared Jesus as King of the Jews. Once approved by God, no man could alter Jesus’ divine identity or mission.
